In a one-week sale that starts today, Virgin Australia is offering up to half off return flights to Perth from the Eastern States. This is just one more reason for people from the Eastern States to come to Western Australia.
From Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide, one-way flights to Perth start at just $119.
The “Escape to WA” 50% off flight sale is the result of a partnership between Tourism WA, which is run by the McGowan Government, and Virgin Australia. The goal is to get more people to stay in hotels and spend money in the State.
The campaign is for people from the Eastern States who want to visit friends or family in Western Australia. It is also for people who want to take a vacation in Australia instead of going somewhere else.
Out-of-state visitors to Perth are encouraged to take advantage of all the State has to offer, including one-of-a-kind adventures and a full schedule of blockbuster sporting events at Perth’s world-class Optus Stadium for the winter season.
Visitors are also encouraged to go to WA’s beautiful regions and book a tour to experience the unique adventure travel opportunities and high-quality food and wine in the state.
This special deal is available at virginaustralia.com for the next week, until June 27 (unless it sells out sooner), for travel between August 1 and September 15, and October 11 and December 14.
This promotion is part of the State Government’s $195 million Reconnect WA package and Tourism WA’s $12 million Wander Out Yonder domestic marketing blitz. These programmes help Western Australia’s tourism industry by getting more Australians to visit the west, stay longer, and travel further.
The new project with Virgin Australia aims to give more than $11 million to businesses in WA that deal with hotels and tourists.
The campaign will be shown on TV and radio stations in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Adelaide, as well as on digital and social media channels.
Virgin Airlines will promote the special discounted flights and hotel vouchers through its email list and website.
