Shaan Masood married Nashe Khan in a Nikah ceremony

Pakistani cricketer Shaan Masood tied the knot with his fiance Nashe Khan in an intimate Nikah ceremony held in Peshawar on Friday.

Various cricket personalities including Shahid Afridi and all-rounder Shadab Khan attended the marriage ceremony of the left-handed batsman.

According to reports, Khan will be laid to rest in Peshawar today, while Masood will hold a Walima celebration for his friends and family in Karachi on January 27.

The wedding festivities for the couple began earlier this week.

Masood wore a crisp white kurta and trousers while the bride rocked a beautiful sky blue lehenga embellished with silver embroidery. She completed her look with pink and white floral jewellery.

Shaan Masood was one of the top trends on Twitter at the time of filing this story.

Photos and videos of the marriage ceremony went viral on social media in which the bride and groom were seen exchanging rings.

The 32-year-old cricketer was born on 14 October 1989 in Kuwait. He has played 27 Test matches, five ODIs and 19 T20Is. He was also part of the Pakistan squad for the T20 World Cup 2022.

Moreover, Sean recently signed a two-year deal with Yorkshire County Cricket Club which he will lead until 2023.

The left-hander is the son of well-known banker Mansoor Masood Khan, meanwhile, his uncle Waqar Masood Khan was a minister of state in the cabinet and advisor on revenue and finance to former prime minister Imran Khan.

The Kuwaiti-born has played 27 Tests, five ODIs and 19 T20Is for Pakistan during his career, scoring nearly 2,000 runs.

He made his Test debut in 2013 against South Africa, while he was handed international caps in ODIs and T20Is in 2019 and 2022 respectively.

Masood also has extensive experience in first-class cricket, having scored more than 9000 runs in 144 matches.

Masood’s elder sister died last year. He had a rare chromosomal disorder that severely affected his development. Sean’s younger brother is a barrister.

Last year, Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf got married to his classmate Muzna Masood Malik last month.

Apart from this, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will also tie the knot with Ansha Afridi, daughter of former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi, on February 3, 2023.
