Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi performed Umrah.

Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who is in Saudi Arabia, recently got the blessing of Umrah.

Shaheen has not kept himself away from social media and has been keeping his fans updated on his every move.

Taking to two social media platforms – Twitter and Instagram, the fast bowler shared a picture of himself at the Kaaba.

“Alhamdulillah,” she captioned the photo.

Soon after Shaheen posted the picture, fans and supporters started showering him with love and flooded the comments section with praises for a great bowler.

Pakistani cricketer Sajid Khan, who will make his international debut for the national team in April 2021, congratulated Shaheen.

The speedster, who was recovering from a knee injury, is ready to jump back into action, as he has fully recovered from the injury that has kept him out of action since November 2022.

“I have around 55 overs during training and I am ready to take part in all types of cricket,” Shaheen said while talking to media persons.

The fast bowler said that he was bowling like before the injury and that he is ready to take the field again.

Shaheen is currently not part of the Pakistan squad as the 22-year-old is recovering from a knee injury, which he suffered during the T20 World Cup 2022 final against England on November 13.

“Being on the sidelines was difficult for me. I decided to participate in the T20 World Cup because the team needed me,” the pacer said while talking about being away from the pitch.

Shaheen also expressed disappointment at missing out on the home season, which included tours of England and New Zealand.

“I was worried about not playing the home series against England and New Zealand. I wanted to play in front of my home crowd and help the team win,” he said.

The fast bowler will lead the Lahore Qalandars during the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), where his team is the defending champion.

The eighth edition of PSL will be played from February 13 to March 19, 2023.

Shaheen’s return to international cricket will be subject to the successful completion of the fast bowler’s rehabilitation program and the following measures by the medical staff:
