Dania Shah, third wife of Aamir Liaquat, arrested by the FIA in Lodhran

Daniya Shah, the third wife of late politician and television actor Aamir Liaquat, has been arrested by FIA from her house in Lodhran area of Punjab.

He is being investigated in a case related to the release of Liaquat’s “obscene” video. The video in question – not independently verified but also called fake by Liaquat – shows her in a state of complete undress at her home after allegedly consuming an illegal substance.

The video was leaked a few days after news broke of her third marriage to Shah.

A case was filed against him by Liaquat’s daughter Dua Aamir. According to FIA, after confirming the complaint, an inquiry has been started for further investigation.

During the inquiry, it came on record that Shah recorded obscene videos “with the intention of humiliating” Liaquat and showed the same videos during several YouTube interviews.

The case was registered on 10 October 2022 under Sections 20, 21 and 24 of PECA, 2016. The interim chargesheet was presented to the court on November 1.

Shah was arrested by the FIA team from Karachi’s cyber crime wing. He was produced in a Karachi court to seek remand.

Aamir Liaquat, a former MNA, died on 9 June 2022 in Karachi. After his sudden death, the police had said a post-mortem would be conducted but only a preliminary examination was carried out before the body was handed over to his family’s custody over the refusal of his family. Post mortem.

He was cremated the next day. On June 21, a court ordered the exhumation of his body.

Shah was Liaquat’s third wife and in May, less than a month before his death, they announced their separation. In several interviews after the announcement, she accused him of abuse and mistreatment.
